The residents of The Brewery Arts Complex are among the most innovative and pioneering artists in the Los Angeles art world and many have achieved national recognition. These talented resident artists work in painting, photography. printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, architecture, interior design, immersive 3D
environments, LED light sculpture, high tech design, furniture design, contemporary fashion, environmental design, new media, digital art, and more.

The Brewery Artwalk is an event for everyone who loves art in all its forms — from collectors, connoisseurs and curators, to the casual enthusiast who wants to learn about the history of the community or discover how art, science and technology are linked. In addition to over 100 artist studios opening for the event, visitors will enjoy a variety of food trucks (including vegan options) and a beer garden operated by The Brewery’s on-site restaurant, Barbara’s at the Brewery. http://www.barbarasatthebrewery.com/

ABOUT THE BREWERY ARTS COMPLEX

Located northeast of downtown Los Angeles, The Brewery Arts Complex is 16 acres of creative energy, artistic dreams, and a little piece of historic LA. It was an operating brewery from 1897 through 1979. Its rebirth as an arts complex began in 1982 with the passing of the Artist-In-Residence code that legalized renting live/work space in industrially zoned buildings.

ABOUT THE BAA

The Brewery Artwalk Association (BAA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. Its mission is to produce, organize and facilitate the recurring semiannual event known as the Brewery Artwalk. The Brewery Artwalk is a free, educational, public arts event designed to create an alternative venue for art exposure. It also allows artists at The Brewery the opportunity to open their studios and connect with the general public, the art industry, other working artists and the community. Families, children, students and individuals are encouraged to view the artists’ work, meet with the artists in person and engage in dialogue about the art. The event is a unique community service and open and free to all.
